I built an AI agent that serves as a 24/7 virtual agricultural assistant for Dominican farmers. The agent is written in Python and integrated directly into a mobile app chat interface.
The Problem
Farmers in the Dominican Republic needed agronomic advice—fertilizer recommendations, crop management guidance, account information—but could only get it during business hours.
What It Does
Abodom AI is a conversational agent that speaks Dominican Spanish and handles:
Agronomic Intelligence
- Farm analysis — Evaluates farm size, crops, soil composition, and irrigation systems
- NPK recommendations — Generates precise nutrient formulas for crops including coffee, cocoa, plantain, and rice
- Quantity calculations — Computes accurate fertilizer amounts based on specific agricultural tasks
